Junior Insurance Solicitor, Edinburgh

Kennedys Edinburgh is looking for a junior solicitor to join our insurance team headed up by Frank Gill.

Type of Clients:

Insurers, Brokers, Accountants, SMEs

Type of Cases:

Defending professional negligence claims
Commercial disputes
Advising clients on licensing, regulatory matters and professional discipline
Media & Defamation

Experience

Essential:

• 1 - 2 years' litigation experience*.
• Knowledge of the procedures in the Court of Session and Sheriff Courts.
• Some Sheriff Court advocacy experience.
• Experience of instructing Counsel and attending Consultations.

Desirable:

• To have had some experience of professional negligence claims.
• To have had previous client contact and attendance at business development events.
• Experience of arbitration and negotiation.
