Your new role
This is a newly created Legal Counsel position, reporting to the UK Contracts Director, with two non-qualified legal professionals also part of the team. You will negotiate and draft a host of commercial technology agreements, including but not limited to IT service, licensing, SaaS and hosting agreements. You will also, within the small team, make a decisive contribution towards M&A na integration activities, while when necessary on employment, intellectual property, data protection and property matters. You will build strong relationships with teams across the business, including sales, HR, finance and the technical teams, while being the first point of contact for disputes analysis and risk-mitigation strategies. You will regularly interface with senior leadership as a trusted advisor, and be seen as a reliable business enabler.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a UK-qualified junior commercial lawyer with demonstrable IT sector experience. You will have strong technical drafting and negotiating skills, with excellent relationship building and stakeholder management ability. You will be comfortable working in-house in a small legal team, servicing multiple teams across the business. You will be able to see the bigger picture in relation to the company's long term strategy, and be able to roll up your sleeves and take on high levels of responsibility. You will ideally have in-house experience, and will certainly possess effective communication skills and the confidence to operate in a fast-paced environment with a can do attitude.
