An exciting opportunity has arisen for a National Head of Business Development to join a firm known to be leaders in the area of law they focus on. The role can be based in Leeds or East Yorkshire. Our client is a top 150 law firm and are in the top ten firms for their specialist area based on fees earned. Due to a recent restructure at the firm they are currently looking to recruit someone to join them who is able to dedicate their time to heading up the business development function. Historically the business development and marketing team has reported to a senior solicitor at the firm. The firm has changed recently to provide management and systems infrastructure to support this firm which has grown significantly in recent years and will continue to grow. It's an exciting time to join.
The role:
The firm is looking for someone who is able to come in and help to implement their growth strategy. Heading up a sales and marketing team the aim of the role is to grow the firm.
Typical responsibilities include creating business development plans for new markets, achieving KPI's identified for business development and marketing, working with PR agencies to support the business, developing a social media strategy and managing the national sales and marketing budget.
Exciting new role with no existing incumbent and offers the opportunity to influence the future growth of the business.
The candidate:
The role is busy and demanding so the firm is really looking for someone who can work well under pressure and has experience at leading or working with a team and working with and influencing senior management.
Candidates will need good communication skills, be personable and calm for this role.
Ideally experience as a senior business development manager in a law firm but at the very least a professional services business
