Counsel - Technology Leader

My client is looking for an ambitious lawyer that wants to be at the core of the global technology sphere. This role will explore complex software licenses within the context of Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT) and analytics. A US business, the London office is the EMEA hub supporting all rest of world sales, marketing & operations.

Description

The Counsel - Technology Leader will support the Sole EMEA counsel and the business with regards all contract matters particularly focused on licensing. The role will require a high level of understanding of software licenses and a passion for new technology. Working closely with the commercial teams you will be working in a fast past environment where your reviewing, drafting and negotiating skills will be key.

Profile

The ideal Counsel - Technology Leader will have obtained training at a leading law firm or in house business. Ideally c3 years PQE*, this lawyer will be looking for there next big challenge, at the forefront of software development and data within a growing IT business.

The candidate must have

- strong commercial contract experience

- software license understanding and exposure

- a passion for technology

- experience working with a sales team

* PQE is a guideline. No level of experience will be precluded from the search.
