Childcare Lawyer

Exciting opportunity for a childcare lawyer to join a local authority based in Hertfordshire on a permanent basis.

Our client is currently looking to recruit a Senior Childcare Solicitor, to undertake a role which will be instrumental in steering them through an exciting period of change.

This Local Authority is situated in the beautiful county of Hereford, and this would be an excellent opportunity for a childcare lawyer seeking a career move.

As a Senior Solicitor in the team, you will hold your own caseload of senior childcare matters and attend court hearings on behalf of the authority Your cases will be varied and you will be able to become involved in all areas of child protection work.

The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor or barrister with at least four years post qualification experience in childcare and adoption law and practice. Your experience will include:

• Good knowledge of Child Care and Adoption law and practice
• Advocacy in Family Proceedings Courts and County Courts
• An understanding of local government and public sector law affecting social care and education

Our client is open to considering those applicants whose experience has been gained from within a private practice environment, providing there is a sound understanding of public law and its workings and challenges.

The authority are happy to consider a flexible working arrangement and able to offer a competitive relocation payment.
