A NEW role with a Top Legal 50 firm on permanent secondment with Surrey and Sussex Police HQ for a qualified solicitor to provide defendant litigation advice.
This Defendant Actions Against the Police role will be to manage a busy and varied caseload, acting on behalf of the police force; cases will be pre and litigated claims such as false imprisonment, malicious prosecution, and assault.
You will work as part of a legal team based in Guildford providing legal advice, depending on experience, on matters such as civil orders in the Magistrates Court, County Court including Anti Social Behaviour Orders, Sexual Offences, Prevention Orders, and Domestic Violence Protection Orders.
You must demonstrate strong advocacy skills, experience of defending a public body on day to day legal queries, and have excellent knowledge of CPR and litigation.
