A top City firm, due to growth, is looking to hire a junior property litigator to join a successful and Chambers rated team.
Due to an increase in workload the two partners need further assistance at the junior level. The role is varied in terms of clients, and predominantly focused on commercial property.
The department gets work independently because of its reputation.
Client Details
The client is a full service commercial law firm based in the City of London with a number of international offices. Litigation and real estate make up two of the firms major practice areas and the property litigation group is growing.
The team is headed by a Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 directory ranked partner who you will work closely with and they have acted on some leading disputes in this area.
It provides an opportunity to get excellent hands on experience, lots of partner, and client contact and the potential for accelerated career progression in what is a meritocratic working environment.
Description
Real Estate Disputes - September NQ
You will be involved in a variety of real estate disputes for a variety of clients in the commercial sector.
You can expect to be involved in;
- Forfeiture
- Rights of light
- Development disputes
- Property contract disputes
- Nuisance
- Contested lease renewals
The client list includes substantial institutional clients and funds, as well as smaller land owners and occupiers.
There will also be an opportunity to do ad hoc commercial litigation.
Profile
You will have at least a training seat in property disputes or commercial litigation, in a well regarded property litigation department at either a City or top regional firm background.
You will have excellent academics
Keen to learn and develop this area of law
Enjoy and embrace business development aspects of the role
Be driven to achieve and build upon your existing skill set.
