Venn Group's specialist legal team are excited to be recruiting for a Locum Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer to join a Local Authority in East Anglia. This contract is offered for an initial period of 3 to 6 months.

Our client is a well respected Local Authority with a large established legal team.

The ideal candidate will be a Solicitor or Legal Executive with previous experience specialising in Commercial Contract and Procurement law, ideally from a Local Authority background. Lawyers with a Private Practice background with the relevant experience will also be considered.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Drafting and negotiating general commercial agreements on behalf of the Council
  • Providing advice in relation to EU procurement matters
  • Regeneration and development agreements
  • Advising clients on the tenders/procurement process including regulations and drafting contracts


Experience of Construction/JCT matters, Grant agreements and Arts contracts would also be an advantage for this role.

A highly attractive rate of £30 - £40 per hour dependant upon experience is offered and our client is willing to consider flexible hours and/or homeworking for the right candidate
