12 month fixed term contract
A Legal Cashier is required for a top ten law firm situated in the heart of London. I am looking for a Legal Cashier that is immediately available or someone with a short notice period to cover a 12 month contract. The position offers a great salary of up to £32k per annum.
The Successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the firm's bank accounts and managing the SRA Accounts rules and compliance. Your daily responsibilities will vary but will include the following; billing clients, paying invoices, banking, inter account transfers, bank reconciliations, data entry and filing, producing financial reports for management and helping to prepare the profit and loss sheets for the annual accounts. You will be wholly responsible for these duties and on occasion you may also get involved in some payroll activities.
To be successful for this position you must already be operating as a Legal Cashier and be able to understand all the general accounting principles and practices. You will hopefully be able to demonstrate a minimum of three years' experience working within a reputable City Law Firm. You will also be very familiar with the Solicitors Financial Rules. Personal characteristics and qualities we are after are as follows; good attention to detail, works well under pressure, focused, self-motivated, good presentation skills, excellent interpersonal skills, confident in using computers and an understanding of legal terminology.
