Civil Litigation Legal Officer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Civil Litigation Legal Officer/Paralegal to join an in-house organisation based in Warwickshire. The initial period for this contract is for 3 months, with the possibility of further extension. This role is also offered on a full-time basis, with the client looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate will be a paralegal or legal executive who is able to manage their own caseload and attend court as an advocate.

Duties will include:

• Handling a personal caseload dealing with a broad range of civil litigation matters
• Acting as advocate and conducting litigation hearings
• Dealing with recovery of service charge, ground rent arrears and dilapidation claims
• Recovering accommodation charges
• Dealing with deprivation cases involving service users who lack capacity and have dementia
• Managing mortgage repossession cases and possession proceedings

The rate of pay for this role will be between £20 and £25 per hour.
