In House Senior Legal Counsel - Insurance

A leading insurance provider is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join their European team. Reporting into the Legal Director, this role will provide support predominately to the UK business teams, but may also involve supporting colleagues in relation to other European countries from time to time.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 4 years* experience in the insurance industry who is looking to take their next challenge within a global company.

Daily duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Implementing marketing strategy for insurance products relative to risks located in wider EMEA region.
- Preparing and negotiating trading agreements at all levels of complexity.
- Conducting due diligence, providing guidance and assistance for consumer litigation if required.
- Marketing products by regarding Warranty & Indemnity insurance to law firms, other transaction related professionals through presentations and attending conferences.
- Advising Drafting, preparing and negotiating policy wording, maintaining accurate records of policies
- Advising on various areas of the law, including consumer protection, general commercial issues, insurance law and regulation and e-commerce.
- Ensure the effective and positive management, development and on going engagement of junior team members.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer with expertise in insurance within an in house role. You must also be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with an acute grasp on Insurance Law.
