Our client is now looking for a Data Protection Manager, who will be the subject matter expert for all data protection matters relevant to the EMEA region across all their functions and will be responsible for providing advice, guidance and support to the company across the region relating to all GDPR & other data protection requirements.
You will also monitor compliance with the GDPR, with other national data protection provisions and with policies and procedures in relation to the protection of personal data, including the assignment of responsibilities, awareness-raising and training of employees involved in processing operations, and related audits. Your role will also include the implementation, management and monitoring of the EMEA data protection strategy and the creation & roll out of policies, standard operating procedures and guideline documents as well as the development /maintenance of organisational / governance frameworks, training, data protection awareness campaigns, cross-border transfer of data mechanisms and identification and management of risks around data protection. The role will also see you involved in supplier management due diligence activities with regards to data protection.
You will have a degree in Law or relevant to data protection (or equivalent). A CIPP(E) (Certified Information Privacy Professional (Europe)) is advantageous but not essential and have have a proven track record in a compliance, data protection and/or privacy role gained within the Pharmaceutical or another highly regulated industry including good understanding & practical application experience of current UK & other European data protection legislation.
A second language (such as French, German, Italian, Russian or Spanish) is advantageous but not required.
