Our Client is a large U.S. law firm which represents many of the world's leading companies in complex litigation and other high-stakes disputes, cross-border and other strategic transactions, and crucial regulatory matters. They have offices across America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Due to an increase in workload they are keen to recruit a Collections Specialist to join their team. 

Responsibilities include

To assist in the running of the RS Finance Function, based in London

Liaison with Partners and other Fee Earners to help collect debtors

Liaison with the other EME offices

Deal with the firm’s clients directly to help collect debts by telephone, e-mail and letter

Help fee earners resolve issues which are preventing collection as well as the ability to assess the situation and suggest a way forward

Maintain a history of events to aid collections, with regular updates, maintain a diary of collection events and ensure that these are acted upon

The ability to produce accurate cash flow forecast

Work with the billers in relation to E-Billed clients, making sure E-Bills have been accepted via client’s software

Despatch of monthly client statements in accordance with credit rating policy

Sending out monthly credit control reports to CRLs and issuing FRP warnings to CRLs

Updating daily cash flow forecast

Meeting Fee Earners and PGLs on monthly basis to discuss debts

Review of client money balances weekly in accordance with SAR rules

Assist in the year-end target setting exercise

Candidate Profile

Excellent computer skills; competent in an accounting and collection packages (such as Elite/3E and CFS collections system), Excel and Word

Good business knowledge with an ability to monitor risk assessment

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Organisational, finishing skills with good attention to detail as well as the ability to work within a team

Assertive and professional

Good grammatical skill set
