Our client are a large well-recognised financial services firm, in line with their strong HR analytics focus, they are looking for a really strong MI specialist who also has strong business partner skills to work as an HRBP. The business is going through a phase of transition, with a new leadership team in EMEA. Attracting, developing and retaining employees is at the forefront of their agenda, which makes the role of HR critical in enabling them to grow the business and efficiently manage their human capital. We are seeking to recruit an HR Business Partner / Project and MI support within the CIBD EMEA HR team, who will have responsibility for providing the EMEAPAC businesses with the full spectrum of business partnering and project support. The role will include the delivery of day to day HR support for the business including, employee relations, organisation development/change, learning and talent, performance management, resourcing and reward. A key aspect of the role is to also provide high quality, timely and accurate MI analysis to enable effective decision making and support the team and the businesses that we support.

HR Projects:

Partner closely with HR BPs and Centre of Excellence (CoE) teams to lead the successful delivery of key HR initiatives into the business. This will include:

  • Cyclical talent and succession planning activity
  • Review and synthesis of Your View results and associated follow up and engagement activity
  • Bespoke learning and development activity
  • Annual performance review process, including the coordination (with global partners) of MD promotion process
  • Annual payround, including design and delivery of management briefing toolkit
  • Change / Organisational design

MI Analyst:

  • Deliver accurate and timely MI to support the provision of analytical and strategic HR advice
  • Develop and maintain information flow between the CRT, MI team and business COOs
  • Manage data flow and presentation of data on specific projects (e.g. h/c reduction exercises, recruitment planning) including HR metrics and headcount forecasting. Provision of monthly metrics to ensure the business is fully cognisant of trends and key drivers
  • Facilitate performance management reporting
  • Contribute to annual HR processes (e.g. year-end reporting - TCR/SAP checks)
  • Work in collaboration with MI and Reward teams to project manage and facilitate the annual performance and compensation process, including the review process for salaries and incentives and the performance management and promotion reviews

HR Business Partner:

  • First line HR contact for key stakeholders
  • Support client groups through the full range of HR activity, including employee relations, learning and talent, performance management, resourcing and reward related activity
  • Provide technical and commercially practical ER advice; providing managers with guidance and transactional support on capability, disciplinary, grievance, terminations, flexible working requests, paternity / maternity leave etc
  • Assume responsibility for helping land core initiatives into your own client group, working with management to ensure buy in and ownership
  • Assume hands-on responsibility for core year-end processes, advising key stakeholders through committee / performance review and compensation round activity

Qualifications /education

  • Degree (or equivalent)

Experience Required

  • Good understanding of the HR environment gained from a project / MI / business partnering background
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering projects from inception to successful conclusion within a complex, matrixed environment
  • Experience in analysing large data sets to produce value-add MI
  • Relevant industry experience, ideally from a banking / financial services / professional services environment
  • Track record of managing stakeholder relationships across a global organisation

  • Numerate, analytically minded and commercially astute - able to analyse, conceptualise and evaluate potential solutions as well as having a commercial view of future planning and strategy requirements

  • Execution oriented - excellent problem solver, flexible and adaptable in approach
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent eye for detail, even when managing high volumes of work

They will be a strong team player, well organised, resilient and able to cope with periods of pressure and a demanding client population. Relationship management, analytical and commercial skills are essential given the nature of the Banking client base.
