In House Legal Counsel – Leading Technology Business

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Lawyer to join one of the country’s leading technology companies, based at their offices in Yorkshire.

In this newly created role you will:

• act as a trusted adviser and business partner for the provision of all aspects of legal and regulatory advice in relation to the Company’s core business activities
• provide legal advice primarily in regard to commercial and consumer law matters
• drafting and negotiating a range of agreements including suppliers, general T&Cs and marketing
• managing disputes
• general legal advice to the business including employment, IP and outsourcing
• manage regulatory legal issues with the business and, to that end, an understanding of data protection would be helpful but not essential

This is a unique opportunity to be involved in developing a recently established team and creating a pro-active and innovative legal function in a fast-moving technology business.

This role will suit someone who is:

• looking for a broad legal role that will cover all legal aspects of general commercial legal work
• seeking to develop their commercial acumen and operational experience

In order to carry out this role you must be a qualified lawyer with at least 1 years’ PQE and a background in Commercial / IT / Corporate law.
