National Grid supplies energy for millions of homes and businesses across the UK and USA. It's a vast, complex operation that requires first-class legal support to tackle a variety of high-level business challenges. That's why we're looking for skilled Contracts Lawyers with a proven track record in project, contract and relationship management. With your expertise, we'll meet our commercial and contractual objectives, while enhancing our reputation.

Whichever area of our business you are aligned to, you'll provide the highest standard of business focussed legal advice to support the relevant business and its leadership team. You'll have a varied remit that ranges from mitigating legal and commercial risks, developing strategies and solutions for important regulatory, licence and legislative matters, implementing industry code modifications and working with a varied portfolio of legal suppliers. You'll also be responsible for steering commercial strategies for large-scale contractual arrangements, construction, IT, IP and more. An articulate, confident professional, we'll look to you for expert legal advice and business partnering that will enable the legal team to perform at their very best.

A qualified solicitor or barrister, you'll be an authority on project, contract and relationship management. Thanks to this background, you'll be able to advise on contractual, licence, regulatory and legislative matters, as well as assess the impact of and lead on changes arising from such matters. These talents will make you a credible voice when it comes to setting overall strategy and training other members of the team. To excel, you'll also need the commercial acumen to understand our market, great communication skills and the ability to lead high-profile, strategic projects. If you've got the skills and experience we're looking for, we'll give you every opportunity to develop your career and knowledge in a stimulating role.

At National Grid, we don't just ask our people to deliver to the highest standards. We also support them to be the best they can be. Accredited training programmes and personal development courses are a part of life here. We value and encourage diversity of gender, race and thought, whatever your background. By helping you shape your career and get to where you want to go, we create a switched-on workforce. Which is exactly what we need to achieve our vision of creating new sustainable energy solutions.
