An internationally renowned Investment Bank is recruiting a knowledgeable and pragmatic lawyer into their FIC markets team on a six month contract to advise on a range of derivatives and capital markets matters.
Types of work include: handling transactions, usually in derivative, stock loan or repo format; advising on document development, for example in respect of clearing or new margining rules; advising on legal aspects of market infrastructure such as exchanges, trading platforms and clearing houses; establishing and maintaining e-commerce platforms; default management and troubleshooting; dealing with disputes; providing specialist support to other teams tasked with 'flow' documentation; assisting with regulatory reform projects, such as EMIR, SFTR, BRRD, MIFID2, and Benchmarks.
Ideally you will be a qualified lawyer with at least 2 years' PQE. At a base level you will have an enthusiasm for applying your legal knowledge to a variety of asset classes. This will give you excellent exposure and visibility across the bank, and is the perfect opportunity to develop your experience in the financial sector.
