Solicitor - Employment

The Opportunity;

Slater Gordon are looking for a Solicitor of 1-4 years PQE to join our new employment department in central Edinburgh, part of an international employment practice with employment departments located in offices around the UK and in Australia. The successful candidate will be passionate about working for individuals, providing high quality advice and guidance to employees, senior executives, directors and partners. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic lawyer who is keen to grow an exciting new employment practice in Scotland and to build awareness of our excellent brand in Scotland. The successful candidate will belong to a wider Employment group who collectively are experts in every aspect of employment law and nationally recognised as leaders in their fields. Part of the wider national practice which has top tier and exceptional rankings in both Chambers and Legal 500 Directories for Senior Executive, Employee and Union advice.

Responsibilities of the role;
As a Solicitor at Slater and Gordon you will be responsible for;
Maintaining a caseload and overseeing the file management of employment cases in the Employment Tribunal and civil courts
Meeting a financial target
Complying with National Practice Standards
Engaging actively in business development

Requirements;

We are looking to recruit an Employment Solicitor who is able to demonstrate the following -
Knowledge and experience within the area of Employment Law (1-4 yrs PQE)
The ability to successfully manage an individual billing target
Experience of working to and achieving key performance indicators
A willingness to engage actively in business development
An adaptable and positive approach consistent with the firm's values
