In-house Paralegal

A successful, global food business is looking for a Commercial Paralegal to join their In-house legal team based in Hertfordshire, easily commutable from North London. The role would be perfect for a Paralegal with more than 2 years experience in commercial contracts and IP, ideally gained In-house. Salary is dependent on individual experience, and there is a generous benefits package on offer.

This exciting food business has a long list of well-known retail clients, and now has a presence in Europe, Australia, South Africa, and is soon to expand into America. This new appointment into the legal team is part of their extensive growth plans over the next few years.

As part of the small In-house team, the successful Paralegal will report into the Head of Legal and work closely with other departments across the business, including teams across the world. The role will involve; drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts (including high value and complex agreements), assisting with corporate deals, advising on IP matters (including Patents and Trademarks), and working with retail and supplier clients across the UK, Europe, and further afield.

The role would be perfect for a Paralegal with more than 2 years PQE however more experienced or more junior candidates would be considered, as would Legal Executives and qualified Solicitors. As the business has a large client base in Spain, it would be a bonus for candidates to be fluent in Spanish but is not essential. Candidates should demonstrate experience drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, will have a knowledge of relevant IP matters, and could come from either an In-house or Private Practice team. Those with experience working in a food-related industry are particularly encouraged to apply.
