GDPR/Data Protection Legal Counsel

A new opportunity has arisen within a well-known UK regulator based in London who are looking to appoint an experienced Data Protection specialist to provide advice and guidance on compliance with the Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Working closely with the General Counsel and other Senior individuals within the business you will be required to review and update the business data protection policies, processes, guidelines and privacy statements as well as carry out audits to ensure compliance and date protection law. Additionally you shall provide support to the Head of Investigations and Enforcement in the management of investigations and enforcement casework.

Candidate will be either an In-House Counsel or Senior Associate specialising in data protection law and shall possess a wide range of legal skills including legal research, drafting and negotiating as well as strong commercial and technology experience.
