Your new company

An excellent construction law opportunity has arisen with a leading law firm in Belfast. The firm have a brilliant team of Construction lawyers and they are seeking to recruit an additional talented lawyer to join their ranks. They are open minded to level and will consider candidates with an experience level between 1-6 YRS PQE, with a mix of contentious and non-contentious experience

Your new role

They have previously won the highly acclaimed accolade of Construction Law Firm of the year and not surprisingly represent top level FTSE 100 companies, Major Construction Firms and range of Public Sector bodies and Private Sector Companies.

Your new role will be diverse and will take in both contentious and non-contentious construction matters covering a range of high value construction projects and multi-jurisdictional projects

You will utilise your skills and experience in detailed negotiation and drafting of bespoke and standard form EPC contracts in the procurement of major projects, with legal management of the Commercial issues and risks arising from performance of the EPC contract

You will be involved in all forms of ADR and formal dispute resolution proceedings, with particular expertise in international arbitration and the complex matters which typically arise in the context of an EPC based project, contract Forms: NEC, ICE, JCT, FIDIC

What you'll need to succeed

1 YR PQE+ experience in a Commercial law firm with exposure to Construction Law
Experience of construction law contracts such as NEC, ICE, JCT, FIDIC
A strong technical skillset
The ability to work in a team with the ability to take the initiative and work autonomously
