A well-regarded software/SaaS business has created an opening for an all rounded Commercial Lawyer with a minimum of 8 yrs PQE. This role can be based in Central London, Manchester or Newcastle where the successful candidate will have thorough commercial/corporate M&A legal experience with legal knowledge of IP/IT commercial law, whilst data protection experience is advantageous.
You will provide expert commercial legal advice to the UK and Ireland and closely with senior management delivering legal solutions and advising on commercially challenging matters in an effective and pragmatic manner. You will regularly improve operational effectiveness process and systems, both in the commercial team and across the Legal function. An exciting aspect of this role requires you to advise, influence and support key stakeholders at all levels including worldwide operations to ensure close alignment between the Legal function and business areas. You will manage the legal panel spend management and regularly review its effectiveness to keep legal expenditure to a minimum.
For this role candidates are required to be a minimum of 8 yrs PQE having gained solid commercial law experience from a well-regarded law firm. Must be a business minded lawyer with the ability to provide pragmatic commercial advice and solutions. There is flexibility to work from either the London, Manchester or Newcastle offices.
