The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented and driven Solicitor with expertise in Commercial Litigation and Employment law to join our clients’ well-regarded team in the Hertford area. The successful Solicitor will enjoy a diverse caseload encompassing all aspects of commercial disputes, civil litigation and contentious and non-contentious employment matters. In addition, the ideal Solicitor will also handle internal debt recovery matters and assist with more complex, higher value commercial issues. Participation in business development activities and the ability to build strong working relationships, internally and externally are essential for the position.

The Candidate
You must be a qualified Solicitor with around 4 – 7 years’ PQE gained within a well-regarded Commercial Litigation and Employment team.
You must have excellent technical skills with a broad range of expertise.
You will be able to manage a diverse caseload from instruction to settlement to include undertaking advocacy at County Courts and Employment Tribunals where necessary.
Excellent academics with at least a 2:1 at degree level are essential.
You will be client-focused with first class client care and communication skills across all levels.
Prior business development experience and a willingness to become involved in activities are pre-requisite.
You will be driven, personable and flexible with a detail-orientated approach.
