An exciting opportunity has become available for a Lead Counsel to join a growing Biopharmaceutical company based in Middlesex, on a permanent basis.
The purpose of this role is to act as primary legal and business conduct support to the business units and provide proactive strategic and tactical legal advice.
Responsibilities:
* Provide advice to cross-functional teams and support strategies such as commercial market access, medical affairs, government affairs and public affairs.
* Ensure compliance is applicable with healthcare laws and regulations.
* Maintain a focus on delivering advice on proposed schemes to ensure they are developed, executed and compliant with applicable healthcare laws and regulations.
* Review and engage with the business on day to day activities to spot issues and counsel clients on compliant interactions with healthcare professionals and organisations.
* Manage internal processes regarding complaints about competitor conduct and responding to competitor complaints.
* Interact with outside vendors and/or counsel to assist in the design of policies, procedures and processes.
* Participate in quarterly compliance meetings as required
You will be a qualified solicitor having gained previous experience in the Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical remit as well as a proven track record of delivering specialist advice on EU healthcare regulatory laws.
You will need to have demonstrated leadership and management experience and have the ability to multi task in a busy, deadline oriented environment.
