The firm is best known for stand-out expertise in the Technology, Media and Entertainment sectors and the culture is collegiate, supportive and dynamic.We are looking for an experienced Trade Mark Attorney (approx. 5 years PQE or equivalent) who will be responsible for managing and developing an existing portfolio and building the firm's trade mark registration/portfolio practice. The successful candidate will be advising a range of clients, predominantly in the entertainment and new technology fields, on trade mark clearance, trade mark filing and prosecution, portfolio maintenance, IPO disputes and co-existence agreements. The work is UK and EU-based but experience in overseas jurisdictions, including Madrid Protocol, is also helpful. Experience in registered designs is not essential but would be helpful. The candidate will have proven experience in private practice. Strong drafting and advisory skills are essential, together with a pragmatic and commercial approach to client issues. The successful candidate will be part of the broader IP team but with a high level of autonomy (and supervision of a formalities paralegal). You must be confident, organised, driven and able to prioritise and deal with multiple deadlines.You do not need a following to be successful in this role, although you will be commercially driven and take an active interest in marketing and business development.
