Locum Childcare Solicitor

An excellent opportunity for a Locum Childcare Solicitor to join a successful Local Authority legal team has arisen in the West Midlands.

The position is initially for 3 months with the strong possibility of further extension whilst the authority carries out their permanent recruitment. The role is offered on a full-time basis, with one day working from home.

Applications are welcome from Qualified Solicitors or Barristers with a current Legal Practice Certificate.

The duties on a day-to-day basis are as follows:

• Managing a full caseload of Childcare cases
• Dealing with interim care orders and emergency protection orders under the Public Law Outline
• Attending both County Court and Family Proceedings Court including trial hearings, directions hearing and half day hearings
• Performing own advocacy at both contested and final hearings

A rate of £30-£40 per hour dependant upon experience is offered.
