Revenue Controller – 12 month FTC – 35-38k
An experienced Revenue Controller is required to join this large International law firm with offices based in the heart of the City. You will possess experience of leading a firm or department’s billing and credit control control functions. Reporting into the Revenue Manager, you will provide a flexible approach and be able to build strong working relationships at all levels both internally and externally. Duites include;
- Management of departmental revenue from billing time through analysis of aged WIP and aged debt
- Taking appropriate action with Partners to deal with unbillable WIP
- Review matter setup, ensuring specific terms and rates are agreed from the start
- Monitoring levels of client exposure and reporting matter in need of attention to the Revenue Manager
- Regular review of unbilled time and disbursements in order to produce bills to meet monthly targets
- Handle file closures, transfers and write offs
- Ensure bills are dispatched in a timely manner, assisting with drafting of related correspondence as needed
- Support and assist the credit controllers
- Ensure relevant SRA Accounts Rules requirements are met by ensuring that monies on client account are monitored
- Proactively work as a team with other Revenue Controllers at busy times such as month/year end
- Support all initiatives to improve the revenue and billing processes and/or systems as required from time to time
- Respond to queries from other departments and fee earners in respect of billing and revenue
Candidates must have solid revenue experience gained within a legal partnership or LLP environment with a thorough understanding of SRA Accounts Rules and applications of VAT.
