Business Development Manager

Brilliant opportunity for a confident, polished and ambitious Business Development Manager to join a hugely successful US law firm, supporting their global Project Development and Finance group. As Business Development Manager you will work with a group of senior individuals including the London Office Managing Partner. This is very much a global role, working closely with lawyers in the firm's international offices to win business from clients, many of which are well known household names.

Key responsibilities for the Business Development Manager will include drafting and producing pitches; conducting client and background research; supporting with the production and implementation of business plans; providing client relationship management support for key clients; and preparation of directory submissions for the practice group. The Business Development Manager will be direct line manager to the two Business Executives in the team.

The ideal candidate will be degree educated and have solid legal Business Development and Marketing experience from a Law firm or Professional Services firm. It is crucial that you have strong pitch experience as this is a significant part of the role. First class communication skills and the ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines are a must. Strong attention to detail and excellent writing skills are required, along with the confidence to liaise with senior individuals across the firm. Experience of supporting Projects or Energy group is highly desirable.
