Insolvency Partner / Head of Department

Established for over 150 years, this firm has an exciting and interesting heritage. They were originally based in Canary Wharf and were one of the first Solicitors ever to service two of the country's most well-known Banks. They have deep rooted connections to the financial sector, and it is this foundation that the firm was built on.

This business has experienced natural growth in recent years, with the opening of two new offices. They are about to open a new flagship office based in the heart of Soho, in the West End. They are a creative, entrepreneurial, ambitious, and forward thinking practice with an electric feel throughout the firm. The opening of the new Soho office is to appeal to a Media client base, a specialist area of some Partners. They are a well-established company who have an impressive client base; the firm has an ethos of exclusively dealing with quality work and charging well for it.

The firm is seeking to hire an Insolvency Partner / Head of Department to join their new Soho, West End office.

The firm has a young and dynamic feel with most of the firm's Partners being under 40. They think outside of the box and have a genuinely refreshing approach to marketing and have recently opened a coffee shop within the firm's office specifically for internal and client meetings.
This Insolvency Partner / Head of Department role will work closely with the Commercial Litigation department. At the moment, the Insolvency work is handled by the Commercial Litigation team, although they are very busy and have a good reputation and client base within Insolvency, so the firm are seeking to have this as a separate sub department. This is an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of this department, within a firm that is organically growing. You will deal with a broad caseload which will include; Insolvencies, Administrations, Receiverships, Bankruptcies, and Liquidations.

This role comes with good prospects for Partnership, it would suit a Partner looking for a lateral move, or a senior Associate looking for a route to Partnership who may be in a top-heavy team.

• You will be an Insolvency Solicitor with at least 7 years PQE
• You should be an ambitious and dynamic candidate who wants to be at the forefront of an exciting venture
• It is essential that you have had good exposure to business development and have the confidence to go out and develop new business
• This role would suit a candidate looking for a springboard to Partnership, who is perhaps working in a top-heavy team
• This role comes with one of the most lucrative bonus structure which allows you to earn 20% of your billings
• Salary is very negotiable depending on your level of PQE
