Spanish Speaker – Technology Sector

Our client is a global market leading technology business. This position presents an excellent opportunity for a first-rate lawyer to provide legal advice to our client’s business and management on world-class products and services.

Working within the EMEA legal team, with a particular focus on Spain, Italy and Israel, you will:

  • Act as a lead attorney in supporting colleagues based in EMEA on a variety of sales and marketing matters, including complex, high-value agreements for the delivery of hardware and software solutions, as well as services with large customers who operate in various sectors (including communications, manufacturing, automotive, transportation and the internet of things)
  • contribute to developing and implementing company policies and procedures with resellers and distributors
  • advise clients on a broad array of issues and risks to ensure compliance with company policies and the law, in particular in the antitrust and anti-bribery areas and public procurement

You will be working in a cross-cultural and cross-functional environment, sharing collective responsibilities and coverage and be expected to work flexibly as a fully integrated legal team member in support of business clients of varying experience levels spread across a number of countries in EMEA.

The ideal candidate will be dual qualified in UK and Spain or one of these jurisdictions with English law experience.  Alternatively you will be qualified in one of the EU's civil law jurisdictions with English law experience and Spanish language skills. You will possess a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience. An understanding of contract and commercial law is essential whilst a knowledge of anti-trust is preferred. You need to be capable of managing multiple projects with a wide variety of people across multiple countries. Exposure to the technology or telecoms sector is also preferred.

Excellent written and spoken English and Spanish is a requirement; an additional European language, ideally French or German, would be an advantage. Some travel across EMEA and to the US is required.

Our client will consider flexible working arrangements (including some home working).
