A very hands on role with a fast growing London based credit fund specializing in originating and executing large direct lending transactions in the emerging markets. Our client also has a growing commodities trading business, which would also fall into this remit.
We are seeking a commercially minded and entrepreneurial legal professional with experience of regulatory change in the context of funds or commodities. This role is part of a 5 strong legal and compliance team to lead the regulatory change and development function and to manage the external service providers that do this work. It is important to note that all members of the legal and compliance team are paid and treated as part of the business (and not a support function). This is a unique organisation in this way and given the emerging market perspectives the work of this individual will be crucial to their low volume and high value deals.
The business has doubled in size in the last two years and the atmosphere in the office is lively, respectful and dynamic. You will have the opportunity to manage a KYC professional in addition to external resources. If you have experience in regulatory change and or compliance in any context and want to learn they will give you a platform to grow. A minimum of 2 years relevant experience is ideal.
