Immigration Paralegal

My client, an international Big 4 consultancy seeks an immediately available Immigration Paralegal to join their Immigration Team for an initial period of three months with opportunity to extend.

Reporting in to the Director of Immigration, this role requires someone who has experience in carrying out UK Tier 2 Visa applications, with caseloads of up to 30 cases at any one time.

Responsibilities:

• Advise on all aspects of immigration applications, including UK Visas & Immigration compliance and the prevention of illegal working
• Advise on Tier 2 Visas
• Manage own caseload and new case referrals, caseload of 20 - 30 cases per time
• liaise with client/assignees regarding application process
• escalate issues/complexities to management
• assist management with drafting of supporting documents in relation to VIPs
• assist with the completion of projects, including graduate recruitment project
• mentor junior team members
• Provide assistance with organising client meetings and seminars

Requirements:

• OISC level 1 & 2 or equivalent qualifications or experience preferred but not required of paralegals/lawyers
• Strong UK immigration technical skills
• Strong technical drafting skills and verbal communication skills
• Effective prioritisation management and organisational skills
• Experience of managing small team and client relationships
• Good attention to detail
• Strong team-player
