Our successful and rapidly expanding global law firm client is looking to recruit an HR Manager to support the Business Services population for their London office. The HR Manager will work as a business partner for the support functions and will establish strong working relationship, in order to become a trusted advisor to the senior management team. Working closely with the Head of HR, the HR Manager will be responsible for all the day to day operational HR requirements for the London office, and will oversee the line management and development of two junior HR professionals. Responsibilities for the HR Manager will be diverse, including:

  • Working with line managers regarding workforce planning
  • Acting as the go-to person for London specific HR policies and procedures
  • Dealing with complex Employee Relations cases, and oversee the ER activity carried out by HR Advisor
  • Overseeing the recruitment and on-boarding processes for business support
  • Leading the Business Support appraisal, salary and bonus review processes
  • Assisting with the firm's global employee engagement initiatives
  • Providing training, mentoring and coaching to junior HR members
  • Planning and implementing new HR projects

The ideal candidate for the HR Manager role will be CIPD qualified, with previous HR experience within a law firm or professional services firm. You will have strong experience of building relationships and have proven people management skills. You will be highly adaptable and flexible in thinking and approach. You must be a strong team player, with a commercial outlook and excellent communication skills.
