In-House Legal Counsel - Financial Services

Our client is a household name in the financial services sphere who are looking to grow their expanding legal team based in Birmingham.

This position will provide a varied, hands-on role in which the successful lawyer will be responsible for the provision of legal advice to the principal business areas of this company. Specifically, you will be responsible for drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, assisting on large scale projects across the organisation and ensuring that appropriate frameworks are in place to effectively manage risk on behalf of the business.

You must be able to provide commercially focussed legal advice and be comfortable making key business decisions. You will work very closely with internal colleagues and you should therefore possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels within the business.

The successful individual will have gained between 1-4 years PQE and be working in a similar in-house legal team or leading law firm. In return you will be paid a competitive salary and receive good company benefits.
