Senior Legal Counsel (Upstream)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a fully qualified Senior Legal Counsel (Upstream) to join one of the world's leading oil companies. The company runs through a network of fully integrated subsidiaries, with substantial business interests in upstream activities, including transportation, shipping, marketing and distribution.

You would be joining the Upstream Team, advising on a broad range of onshore and offshore oil and gas projects, including concessions, operations, exploration, drilling etc. You will be given unparalleled responsibility and exposure in the industry, working on technical legal matters.

Essential Skills / Requirements

• Must have 10+ PQE
• Must have trained and worked in a top international law firm
• Relevant in-house experience in the energy sector would be ideal
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
• Must have excellent written and spoken 'Legal' English
• Must have business acumen/commercial understanding of oil & gas sector
• Ideally have regional experience.
