An excellent opportunity has arisen for a fully qualified General Counsel (Operating Company) to join a group company of one of the world's leading oil companies. The company runs through a network of fully integrated subsidiaries, with substantial business interests in upstream and downstream activities, including transportation, shipping, marketing and distribution.
You would be responsible for developing the legal function of the group company and handling all the legal affairs of the company, including corporate, commercial, disputes, compliance etc. You would be advising on a broad range of projects, drilling, oil field services, procurement, construction and commercial matters in the energy sector.
Essential Skills / Requirements
- Must have 10+ PQE
- Must have trained and worked in a top international law firm
- Must have construction or procurement experience
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Must have excellent written and spoken 'Legal' English
- Ideally have regional experience.
