Insolvency Solicitor (NQ-2 PQE)

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Restructuring and Insolvency solicitor to join a market leading firm in Bristol.

The Team works for a range of professional, business and individual clients throughout the country and sometimes internationally. Key areas of work include advising insolvency practitioners, receivers, business management, shareholders, individuals and creditors on all aspects of insolvency law and practice, affecting businesses of all structures and individuals including the commencement and conduct of insolvency procedures, legal aspects of strategies for business rescue, restructuring and/or sale of business and other assets;

There will be aspects of commercial and corporate advice on finance and business/financial risk, advising on sale or purchase of business and assets from insolvency practitioners, advising on corporate reconstructions under the Insolvency Act and advising business management on the conduct of their business imperilled by the risk of financial distress and threat of formal insolvency proceedings amongst other responsibilities.

The range of work and type of clients means that there is regular interaction with many other teams including property, corporate, commercial, employment, agriculture and litigation teams and clients working in diverse business sectors.

The ideal candidate will have a law degree of 2:1 or higher and possess a broad legal experience including 6 months contentious and 6 months non contentious.

Your experience will include insolvency regime, processes and legislation, companies legislation, articles of association, and corporate governance , drafting contracts /agreements recording settlements and asset transactions, advising on contentious issues, dispute resolution and proceedings
