Childcare Solicitor

Solicitor with Childcare experience required to join a local authority in the West Midlands.


Your new company
Hays are currently working in partnership with a well-established, modern local authority which puts huge emphasis on development and improvement of their services. The organisation is currently undergoing fundamental operational changes. Due to their constant expansion and improvement, an excellent has arisen for a Children's Solicitor to join their Legal Services Team.

Your new role
You will act as a specialist legal adviser to the Children's Wellbeing Directorate (CWB) and you will be responsible for managing your own caseload and case proceedings. You'll take active role in advising and representing the CWB and will also be expected to undertake your own advocacy.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will be a UK qualified Children's Solicitor with good working knowledge of local authority procedures. You'll have experience in conducting your own advocacy, drafting relevant legal documents and decision making. You will also have experience in drafting relevant legal documents and managing a caseload of legal matters.
