McDonald's Restaurants Limited are looking for a Legal Counsel to join the UK in-house legal team based at the UK Headquarters in East Finchley, London.

Detailed Job Description

The role will initially report into Head of Legal – Real Estate & Franchising, working closely with other solicitors in the Legal team and involves varied real estate legal support to the business, principally undertaking acquisition and management transactions including freehold and leasehold acquisitions with development aspects, lease renewals, reversionary leases, underlettings and disposals.

Candidate's Profile

An applicant should be a qualified solicitor of around 3 – 5 PQE* with strong academic credentials and commercial landlord and tenant and site acquisition experience gained with a respected law firm or within an established in-house real estate department. Some knowledge of planning and construction law and some development experience is preferred. In-house or secondment experience will be advantageous but is not essential.

You will be self-reliant, commercial and pragmatic with strong written and verbal communication skills, including strong drafting skills and the ability to clearly and concisely explain concepts to non-legal stakeholders and to push back as necessary.
