LEGAL COUNSEL, CORPORATE/COMMERCIAL (c.3-5 YEARS' PQE)

FTSE 50 COMPANY

SURREY

A global services company is looking to hire a Legal Counsel to join its Group Central Legal team. Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, you will work in a highly reputable team. The business provides services to blue chip clients globally and the role will involve some cross border commercial work. However, the team is small and collegiate so the work is shared evenly amongst the lawyers, depending on capacity. As such, you will have access to a truly varied and rewarding work load with a good degree of responsibility and support, when needed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • acting as the legal interface between the Group and relevant legal and commercial representatives for companies globally
  • drafting and negotiating pan-European and international supply agreements with key suppliers to the Group
  • providing legal advice in respect of commercial law, employment, real estate, intellectual property, competition law, data privacy and litigation
  • providing and co-ordinating legal advice in relation to any M&A activity within the Group
  • supporting the Company Secretarial department in relation to legal issues arising from the company's listed status.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have an excellent grounding in commercial law as well as strong drafting, negotiation and communications skills. You will be a qualified commercial or corporate lawyer and will have circa 3-5 years' post-qualification experience (gained either in-house or with a reputable law firm).

You will be an ambitious individual with a positive attitude who can work independently and manage multiple matters. There is a very competitive package on offer for the role. Please note that the role is based in Surrey. For more information please contact Harry Offer at Kinsella Legal.
