AP & Cashiering Manager (6 month FTC)

This client is an international law firm with offices across Europe, the Middle East and the Far East. Their areas of work include commercial disputes, insurance, shipping and business & finance.

They are currently recruiting an AP and Cashiering Manager to continue to develop and enhance a new in house system and supervise the team.

Key Responsibilities

Managing, monitoring and reviewing the Accounts Payable & Cashiering team

Working with the Accounts Systems team to build additional controls into the new in house system

Reviewing compliance reports, credit card reconciliation and travel supplier reconciliation

Liaising with Partners, Fee Earners and Secretaries as appropriate

Reviewing monthly AP aging report

Ensuring all cashiering activities are carried out in full compliance and reviewing payments

Ensuring quarterly intercompany settlements have been agreed and paid

Ensuring residual balances are reviewed

Acting as key contact point during annual SRA audit and ensuring queries are dealt with

Ensuring full overview of the cash position

Acting as a key contact with the banking manager

Arranging and checking monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Proving information and explanations relating to the annual financial audit

Candidate Profile

Accounts Payable and cashiering experience with a minimum two years’ experience managing a team

Qualified AAT or part-qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA)

Good Excel skills and knowledge of Chrome River

Good relationship building skills and attention to detail

Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
