The Compliance Paralegal will assist the Senior Vice President Compliance in developing and administering the business's compliance program.
Responsibilities will include:
- Helping SVP Compliance to draft, edit, compile, post and keep updated various compliance policies (e.g., anti-corruption, T&E)
- Assisting SVP Compliance in conducting and organizing compliance training
- Preparing and updating training presentations
- Tracking compliance trainings and attendance
- Coordinating e-trainings and liaising with third party training vendors
- Participating in investigations as appropriate, including, note taking and drafting minutes
- Assisting SVP Compliance in administering whistle blower hotline
- Conducting research and drafting updates on compliance developments
- Preparing reports and scorecards on status of the compliance programs, including compiling statistics on training attendance, compliance complaints and investigations
- Conducting preliminary third party due diligence, including, screening against boycott and sanctions watch lists
- Coordinating third party due diligence process, including, maintaining records and files on third party diligence and audits and creating a repository of approved third parties
- Performing administrative matters such as: document management administration (formatting, signing, filing); managing scheduling and calendars, coordinating international and domestic travel"
Key Skills/Experience Required
- Previous paralegal experience required, ideally gained in-house
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and be proactive
- High attention to detail
- Excellent IT skills: Excel, PowerPoint & Word
- Degree educated
