I am currently working with a leading organisation in the UK Charity sector who are looking to recruit a Company Secretary into the business. They are an organisation with strong values and are committed to delivering support to individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.
The Charity is rapidly growing and has experienced consistent expansion over the last few years. As a result a newly created positon has arisen for a Company Secretary to join the organisation to deliver the following:
- Provide high-level in-house Company and Governance legal advice across the organisation
- Maintain and ensure compliance across the Organisation
- Review legal documents and provide advice to Trustees, Executive Leadership Team and Senior Leadership Team on potential legal issues
- Coordinate clerical and administrative work that requires knowledge of legal terms, documents and procedures
- Coordinate Data Protection to ensure overall organisational compliance
- Carry out research in respect of ongoing work and preparing legal reports and papers
- Ensure all legal documentation and statutory forms are appropriately checked, signed and filed within set deadlines
- Ensuring the security of the Companies Legal Documents
- Ensure efficient running of Board, Committee and General Meetings
The successful candidate:
- Qualified or Part-qualified Company Secretary OR legal graduate qualified by experience
- Relevant legal knowledge
- Prior experience in a Company Secretarial role would be highly advantageous
- Experience leading the development or an organisations governance systems and processes
- Strong understanding of all relevant areas of legislation and company law
- Natural leader and team player
- Adaptable to the needs of the organisation
