In-House Patent / Trademark Attorney or IP Solicitor – Exciting Business – South West
About
A leader in the market and highly reputable business within the engineering and technology field.
Accountabilities
You will work within the businesses IP/Patent’s team and closely with Research & Development, providing support to all aspects of IP, including filing, prosecution and enforcement of any design rights/ patents/ trademarks.
You will ensure the designs are always protected by creating, capturing and maintaining a detailed knowledge of local laws relating to registration and enforcement rights in the territories which the business operates in. Amongst other responsibilities, you can expect to implement design filing strategies and manage conflicts which might involve handling prosecutions of design applications in the UK and abroad.
Requirements
- 2 years – 10 years’ relevant experience
- Would suit a qualified Patent Attorney or/and Trade Mark Attorney. Intellectual Property Solicitors may also be considered.
- Engineering, science or technical related degree would be desirable
- Must have experience in handling contentious IP matters on patents, designs or trademarks.
- In-house background (highly desirable but not essential)
- Bright, analytical, good communication skills and attention to detail.
