Leading US law firm is looking to hire a new Professional Support Legal Assistant to support their White Collar/Litigation/Arbitration Groups.  This position would ideally suit applicants with a September 2018 (or later) Training Contract lined up as the role is a 12 month contract however the firm will look at candidates that haven’t secured a Training Contract but have experience of organising, training, mentoring within a paralegal role plus offer an entrepreneurial spirit.  Duties will include being asked to provide support in respect of the training programmes run by the group and the annual international Arbitration Oral Advocacy Course, supervise contributions to and assist in editing the group’s internal legal update bulletin, support the London client facing coordinator, including tracking and recording firm publications and London presentations, conduct research on legal developments or new areas of law relevant to the group, provide direct support to individual practitioners to assist them with locating practice-related internal and external knowledge resources, ensure the International Arbitration, White Collar and Commercial Litigation Knowledge Banks are kept up to date by profiling and uploading contributions from legal staff and managing the process of obtaining document profiles from others. Encourage legal staff within the group to submit useful and relevant documents, maintain the knowledge-related aspects of the group’s resources on Connect (firm’s intranet) including, where appropriate, the Commercial Litigation, White Collar and International Arbitration global practice group sites and resources, assist in updating the International Arbitration Conferences Calendar on Connect and notifying relevant fee earners of conference events taking place in London, support and help to implement group projects, in particular in relation to e-disclosure, costs budgeting, disputes technology and thought leadership initiatives, participate in regular meetings of the Professional Support function and Knowledge Department and liaise with other PSLs/PSLAs to facilitate the sharing of best practice and knowledge, provide other knowledge support to the group as may be assigned by the PSLs or the London Litigation/Arbitration/White Collar partners and assist in the implementation of wider Knowledge Department and Professional Support initiatives and projects as required.  This role is looking for candidates with strong academics, administrative skills and a good eye for detail with at least summer vacation schemes, internships or work placements under their belt from a paralegal/Training Contract point of view however relevant PSL/Know-how/Litigation Paralegal experience is very much encouraged and welcome.  This firm is housed in stunning City offices with a reputation of being one of world’s most successful and highly regarded law firms.
