Unusual role for a Family Advocate/Solicitor, offering autonomy and a challenging caseload within a niche practice.
Our client is a very modern firm with offices across the East Midlands and South Yorkshire. The firm specialises in Family Law, making them experts in this practice area. Our client provides excellent customer service and believes maintaining a strong relationship with all clients is essential.
The Role
This is a rare opportunity for a driven and technically excellent Family Advocate to join our clients’ flourishing practice. A flexible position, requiring attendance at courts around the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire area; the successful Solicitor will represent a broad range of clients in all family, children, financial remedy and care proceedings. The ideal Advocate will also draft relevant orders and attendance notes for each file and handle hearings including emergency, ex-parte, interim and final hearings.

The Candidate
You must be a qualified Solicitor with at least 10 years’ PQE gained within a well-regarded Family department.
You must have excellent technical skills, with solid experience in both private and publicly-funded work to include care proceedings.
You must have first class advocacy and client care skills.
You will be highly organised and able to manage a diverse caseload without supervision.
Excellent drafting skills are essential for the position.
Higher Rights of Audience would be advantageous but not essential.
You will be dedicated, personable and flexible.
