Credit Controller at International Law Firm: to £40,000

An Award winning International Law Firm is looking to hire a new Credit Controller to work in the London office, predominately supporting the Insurance Practice Group.  Duties will include identifying and developing key contacts necessary to secure recovery, undertake pro-active regular reviews and follow up chasing of outstanding debts, producing debtor analysis for key clients and partners and ensure compliance with clients specific protocols/SLA’s, liaise with Partners/client leads and advertise any issues, developing strategies to resolve where appropriate, support lawyers with reconciliations and other ad-hoc debtor analysis, identifying any problem debts and ensure compliance with escalation policy.  Other responsibilities will include meeting the team monthly and individual cash collection and aging targets, adherence to internal credit control procedures, ensure all relevant details are provided for third party collection processes and agents, liaise with service providers and claims handlers, analyse market breakdown and calculate correct proportions due by insure, implement standard market collections strategy across the Insurance groups for collection fees, conduct regular Partner meetings with the Revenue team, contribute to internal review of policies and know-how for capturing market information from file inception through to recovery.  Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years credit Control experience along with experience working in an Insurance & Commercial team.  Candidates must have knowledge of financial controls and SAR’s and working knowledge of Aderant would be beneficial.
