Commercial Lawyer

We are urgently seeking a commercial lawyer to work as part of a small in-house legal services team. The role is for an initial period of 10 months.

You will feel comfortable drafting complex commercial contracts. Strong commercial experience is essential, intellectual property knowledge is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will provide legal and contract support including for research, consultancy and continuing professional development and knowledge transfer. You will manage all aspects of contract administration, drafting and negotiation with industrial, commercial and government funders across a range of projects. In addition, you will review the terms and conditions of external research funding bodies and assess any risks and liabilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a locum lawyer willing to relocate for a maternity cover, or for anyone located in the surrounding area.
