Commercial law firm in London is seeking to recruit a Commercial (Rail) lawyer of 1 or more years’ PQE. This role lies within the Rail team and primarily involves working with Rail-related commercial contracts, as well as advising on Rail regulation. You will work closely with the Partners in the Commercial (Rail) team on a full range of Rail-related matters such as:
- Infrastructure development
- Franchising - advising private sector operators and owning groups on their bids
- Procurement of new rolling stock
- Rolling stock – advising manufacturers on bids for new rolling stock contracts and associated maintenance arrangements
- Rolling stock and depot financing (advising financiers on the financing of new rolling stock and depots)
- Regulation (advising on the regulation of the rail sector, including track and station access and new regulatory arrangements)
Ideal candidates will have experience of advising on and drafting Commercial (Rail) contracts as well as knowledge and understanding of UK Rail regulation. You will also possess a keen interest in Rail with past exposure to the rail industry. Our client is keen to consider applications from candidates who are either working in private practice or in-house with any of the major Rail companies (but looking to return to private practice).
