Locum Commercial Property Solicitor

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a locum Commercial Property Solicitor to join a local authority legal team in the West Midlands. The client will consider candidates with longer notice periods in order to attract the best talent.

The ideal candidate will be someone with significant commercial property experience preferably gained in a local government setting. You will be required to pick up a caseload of high profile matters and provide in-house legal advice on challenging commercial property projects which have multiple parties involved As an applicant you must be able to hit the ground running, be proactive and self-reliant as well as work as part of a wider team.

Management experience is not necessarily critical to the post. The council can move around managerial duties within their existing team should the post holder not wish to directly manager. What is mandatory is the ability to manage the most high profile and most complex work within the team; your PQE level should be significant within the field of Commercial Property

The future caseload will be hugely diverse so will be attractive to someone seeking a challenging and stimulating workload.

The position is offering an hourly rate of £35 - £43 per hour (inside IR35). This is a full time position. Homeworking is allowed but must be taken in line with the needs of the team.
